Welcome to The Child’s Easel art studio. The Child’s Easel is the Studio of Sharon Daniels. The studio moved to peaceful Tinicum Township, Pa. in 2001. We are along a rural road up a wooded lane through the woods into the meadow. Here we enjoy what nature provides in the meadow, the pond and the woods.
I taught art at Childrens Village Daycare at Doylestown Hospital and at the Central Bucks YMCA. More recently I have developed and presented after-school programs in area elementary schools.
I was raised in a family with a special needs brother. I have been involved with special needs people all my life. Art is the way I found to express myself. Now I help others find expression through art.

I find that children are naturally creative and artistic. Learning and developing basic art skills stimulates self-expression, imagination and assists children in discovering their individuality. This builds self-esteem and self-confidence.
We have fun learning about impressionism, Monet, Degas, modernism, primitive cave art, art-with-junk, DaVinci, Warhol, pastels, clay, Miro, mosaic, Picaso, Frank Lloyd Wright, water color, perspective, cartooning, van Gough, pencil drawing, sculpture, Japanese brush strokes, Grandma Moses, collage, canvas, color pencils, art-with-nature, etc. We explore many subjects and many media.
“Where the spirit does not work with the hand, there is no art” L. da Vinci
I have been blessed with many unique students. I work with gifted children, home-school students and children with special needs. Art is a way for all children to express themselves, whatever their challenges. Although a child may not be able to hold a paintbrush, we will find a way for them to put paint onto a canvas. Every child benefits from creating.
“Those who do not want to imitate anything, produce nothing” S. Dali
Together we explore the artistic talents we have. No matter what your child’s ability, carefully structured lessons and practice allow skills to develop and talents to blossom. Every child has talents. Every child learns and develops. We have no distraction here from learning other than the beauty of the seasons in the meadow and woods.
